The white board

The white board hangs in the kitchen and is used for the usual telephone messages, notes to buy apples, etc., and times expected back or destinations. That’s because it is possible that we go several days without overlapping for any amount of time and everyone knows to look at the board for information that might be needed. There are the nights like last night when four of us were here. On was one computer in the basement Grey’s Anatomy season 1 was playing, on another Grey’s Anatomy season 3 was playing, and on the third floor Grey’s Anatomy season 2 was on the TV.

Back to the white board. Sometime last year it became the backdrop for sketches, mini jokes as well as the routine.

Today’s happy washing machine message about it’s returned health replaced yesterday’s drawing for a sad washing machine and the message “get well quick.”

In the laundry room the machine cheerily churns away as the Washington Machine's doctor, not Dr. McDreamy or Dr. Burke from G.A., truck heads up the hill for his next house call.
