Not the same

The house on the right used to be my late friend's Barbara's house and store.

Gone is the awning

Gone are the English books.

Gone are the clothes, books and African art.

Gone is Ptah II, an overweight white cat, who luckily found another home with one of the La Noisette staff and her son.

The window in the middle is still a kitchen where I ate tons of meals, goat, pasta, chicken, pasta and drank tea.

Left are the memories of 40 years of friendship not just in that house house, but on Wigglesworth Street, The Riverway and Delle Avenue.

Someone else lives there now. I have no idea who.

I am glad it doesn't look the same, except, no matter how often I walk by I see the awning, the English books, clothes, African Art and Ptah II.
