When I lived in Boston I was a Celtics fan and I especially loved Larry Bird. I even sat six rows behind him at a Lakers/Celtics NBA final. I could see his beautiful sweat.
Rick and I go to Le Platon on Friday nights, pick up pizzas, take them home and eat them on the patio in front of our fireplace.
So imagine my surprise when waiting for our pizzas a car pulled up and a man got out wearing a Larry Bird No. 33 sweatshirt.
Of course I had to talk to him. Like many Europeans, he had never been to Boston, but wore American symbol t-shirts.
That was okay. It was a little bit of a very nice part of my past life.
