"You'll love Frode's film," my friend Barbara said handing me the DVD.
Anything titled The Executioner wasn't my type of work, but I'd seen my neighbour's documentaries and I'm a fan of his films.
The two-part mini-series Boedlen in Danish was based on a real story about the Khmer Rouge. Beautifully filmed, beautifully told, only later did another Danish neighbour tell me that it was really low budget.
One thing enjoyable about many European films is the unHollywood character--real looking people, not necessarily happy endings.
One of the things I love the most about Argelès is the number of artists, writers, painters musicians and film people from several different countries that are in and out. The place oozes creativity.
