I was sitting at La Noisette in Argelès with my artist friend Bruce Davidson many years ago. As always he was sketching, this time the pigeons on the church steps across the street. His sense of whimsey is such that he added a pig.
Today, Rick whose desk is on the other side of the wall called, "Guess what came up on Google." I walked the few steps to check it out. It was that same sketch.
I have a copy hanging on my wall in the nest.
I adore Bruce's work and also have the two paintings of birch trees he gave Rick and I as a wedding present, but I also adore him for his imagination and his friendship.
