Story Logs

 

Now that we have a fireplace on the patio we can have story logs like from my youth. More likely we wouldn't be reading about Old Grandfather Frog in the Thornton W. Burgess Books but from The New Yorker or Atlantic or maybe from our own writing. We might be reading aloud or to ourselves until the logs burn down. 

 

If its warm enough we can sit on the patio, but if it is cooler to cold, we can see the fire through the patio window.  

 

A fire brings comfort. A fire with a story brings more comfort.
