I received an email from a friend on the story that on 9/11 Delta Flight 15 along with many others were rerouted to Gander NL in Canada. The townspeople did everything they could to make them feel welcome, including housing, food, etc.
One of the passengers later established a scholarship fund for kids in the area.
There's nothing like a feel-good story to start the day. But at the same time, I've read too many stories, good and bad, that are urban legends. I thought this probably was
