The U.S. is a Rogue Nation

The U.S. is now a Rogue Nation

The U.S. is acting against international law. The leaders do not obey U.S. Law either. Rogue nation has been defined as "Rogue as a term applied by some international theorists to states that they consider threatening to the world's peace. U.S. actions in Venezuela and its threats to other countries certainly apply.

For months, the administration has been spouting how Fentanyl is killing Americans. It was almost a mantra for every administration member on every talk show.

Without evidence, they've been bombing small boats that they complain are carrying drugs to the United States.

Does anyone remember the mantra, "weapons of mass destruction" another lie by another administration?

Will Americans fall for lies again?

Funny how fast Fentanyl was replaced by talk of oil companies coming to the rescue of Venezuela almost over night? Could regime change have been the real motive for the attack on a sovereign nation?

When Venezuela nationalized the oil companies, they weren't stealing oil. They were protecting their own oil. Does anyone believe that the oil companies, who have generously donated to Trump, will share their new wealth source with the Venezuela people?

Venezuela has not been the supplier of Fentanyl to the U.S.

Trump used the word "rich" again. He uses it often as if that is the only reason for being.

Maduro was not a good man. That does not give any country the right to remove him. Only Venezuela has that right.

The U.S. is under the leadership of some very bad people including the demented president. I can't imagine Macron or Starmer after weeks of propaganda sending a force into Washington D.C. and pulling Trump out of bed (where he might have been awake  sending social media messages) and taking him to London for trial.

I can see little difference between Putin-Ukraine and Trump-Venezuela. Both invaded another sovereign nation.

Also allegedly Trump has his hopes set on Cuba, Greenland and who knows what other countries.

Now the questions come:

  • When will boots on the ground be needed?
  • When will Americans die in another unnecessary war?
  • How much money will the oil companies make?
  • How much will this cost, money that could provide Americans with services like health care, services that citizens in another industrialized countries consider normal?
  • Did anyone notice that when people other than Trump were talking at the press conference, he was fighting to stay awake? His eyes kept closing.

Congress has abdicated its responsibility to be a counterweight to the president. I am not so naive to believe that every senator and congressman who supported Trump will lose their seats. I can wish.

I fear it is too late to save America from its current power structure whether it is headed by Trump, Vance or another Republican. The oligarchs are there.

It's only January 4 and I've already lost hope that someone will see that the U.S. is burning up.
