Flash Nano 7: Write a story in the form of a list. Use the number Seven in the title
Seven Hours to Freedom
Stephanie was a list maker. She often combined it with her journal or other writing.
1. Drop my step kids off at school. Their mom will pick them up. I'll miss them.
2. Stop at the bank. Almost empty secret account. I need to talk to manager to get more than 300 Euros allowed by the ATM.
2. Call Robert to pick me up at 13 hours. Gives me time to catch the train at 14 hours.
3. Go home and clean up breakfast dishes. Make house look normal.
4. Fill backpack with essentials; new toiletries, leave old toiletries, duplicate meds, clean underwear, one pair jeans. He won't be home from his trip to Zurich until at least 10 tonight.
5. Take secret credit card, he doesn’t know I have.
6. Make plans with Beth to go shopping in the morning. He’ll check with her and they’ll wonder what happened to me.
7. Leave papers. Duplicates of birth certificate, marriage certificate, identity card and passport, which I've been smart enough to get over the past few months, have been mailed to my new address in Sweden. Why I waited so long, I'll never understand.
8. Buy sandwich at train station. Train tickets leave no trail.
9. Leave key and house unlocked.
10. Shower and dress. The bruises will heal and there won’t be any new ones.
