Cider and donuts were a part of my teenage years. They were a feature part of some get togethers. My first Rainbow social event featured both. It made me realise I was truly a teenage with social events that had nothing to do with my family.
Choosing a pumpkin was an important event. My mother would drive us to Russell Farms where we would carefully weigh the merits of each one.
Rick had the perfect place for me. The Cider Mill near his hometown. It had it all: pumpkins, cider and freshly baked donuts. We were able to watch them press the cider and make the donuts, but the best part was eating a still-warm donut and sipping the cider.
