My housemate gave me the Rose Bowl Parade

There are certain holiday traditions that are missed when in another country.

Rick talked about football games on New Year's Day, and I remembered the oohs and ahhs watching the Rose Bowl Parade.

Even when new traditions take their place, the wonderful concert of the Vienna Philharmonic broadcast live on France 2 and a lovely lunch with neighbours, I had a moment that I wished I could watch the parade.

Then I read my housemate's blog with her memories and photos of the Rose Bowl Parade...so I had new and old traditions together.
