Carnival and Confetti

It’s carnival…After lunch we walked around the corner to listen to the bands, watch the dancers and floats go by. The kids were in costume and confetti mimicked a blizzard. What is so wonderful about the carnival is that it is all done by local volunteers. The only thing commercial thing were the balloon salesmen.
One little boy, no more than seven, had a Spiderman balloon tied to his belt. He lay down on the steps of the church and watched Spidey driftt over his head.Although the parade circled the village several times, we decided it was the time to go to Franck’s where we joined others with their multi coloured-confetti ladened hair and clothes. Although people tend to chat table-to-table normally, the carnival encouraged even more discussion of the floats and the miniature pirates, Indians, cowboys, princesses and tigers stroll up and down the street
