Jamming in Carouge

Thursday night is music night – ‘Live at ICV Arcade’ Autumn program kicked off last night. It's a tiny venue at 106 rue de Carouge. It's intimate and friendly. If you're in Geneva, try it some Thursday night. This group was great and the singer's voice pure velvet as he massaged the lyrics of Summertime and It's just the two of us, among other songs.

So what is ICV Arcade?
It’s a venue for performing arts… we have been organizing evenings of readings, live music and poetry since January of this year, 2013. The range of musical styles and line-ups at ICV has been to-date incredibly wide-ranging. `Live at ICV Arcade’ gives musicians the opportunity to try something new, maybe something a little left-field.

ICV Arcade provides value and an additional dimension to International Communications Volunteers, an international non-profit organization specialized in the field of communication for social and humanitarian projects and conferences. All funds raised through refreshment sales at the gig go to keep ICV running – not to corporate margins!

These were young guys - but accomplished musicians. Nice set indeed, though personally I was looking for more of a 'show' rather than 'jamming'. Nevertheless a very cool eve. FYI the band went out under the moniker 'Soul Carribean Cali Groove'. Pro session musos in the making?
