Nov. 6 Job Aids

This month I am part of a group that is doing a flash fiction piece a day. We have prompts. Today's was the title of this piece, Job Aids. Flash fiction is usually a complete story under 750 words. One of the most famous which may or may not have been written by Hemingway. Today's prompt uses the word birthday. Baby shoes. For sale. Never worn."

To all our front line/customer service staff

1. Smile at the clients

2. 2. Meet their eyes.

C 3. Call them Mr. or Mrs. unless told otherwise.

4. 4. When you answer phone Please say, ABC, Inc. (your name) how may I help you.

5.  5. Listen for clues that may give you a chance to offer services they might need.

6.   6. When a client is unhappy, ask open questions to let them vent.

7. Note: If you have dealt with a really bad client, remember there is a voodoo doll in the employee room. Take it, name the client and twist its little arms and legs. Do not stick it with pins where they might die. We don't want to lose them as a client.
